Standard Plate Count Water Test

$40.00

The Standard Plate Count test measures the bacteriological quality of drinking water in public and private water systems. Samples from water are placed on a plate of nutrients and bacteria in the water develop into visible colonies. This test is a way to check the efficiency of water treatment.

What Does a Standard Plate Count Water Test Tell Me?
This test identifies the microorganisms that are present in a water sample. Bacteria such as Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Klebsiella and Enterobacter cloacae can be identified, all of which pose a threat to immunocompromised individuals. You will receive results showing total aerobic bacterial and total mold and yeasts. A Standard Plate Count can detect a source of infection or determine if water treatment processes need to be improved.

How Much Does a Standard Plate Count Water Test Cost?
