Know What’s Lurking in Your Drinking Water

PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances) are man-made chemicals that have been detected in drinking water supplies across the United States, including private wells, municipal systems, and groundwater near industrial sites, military bases, and landfills. Because they resist breaking down in the environment and accumulate in the human body over time, they’ve earned the name “forever chemicals.” Long-term exposure has been linked to serious health conditions including certain cancers, thyroid disease, hormonal disruption, and weakened immune function.

The problem is, you can’t see, smell, or taste PFAS contamination in your water. The only way to know if your drinking water is safe is to test it.

What This Test Screens For

Our 18 Compound PFAS/PFOA Water Test screens your drinking water for the most harmful PFAS chemicals currently identified by health and environmental agencies. Compounds tested include PFOA, PFOS, GenX (HFPO-DA), PFBS, PFNA, PFHxS, PFHpA, PFHxA, PFDA, PFUnA, PFDoA, PFTA, PFTrDA, NEtFOSAA, NMeFOSAA, ADONA, 9Cl-PF3ONS, and 11Cl-PF3OUdS.

How It Works

After placing your order, we mail you a water sample collection kit with easy-to-follow instructions. Collect a tap water sample from your home, drop it in the mail, and results are typically delivered within 7 to 10 business days from the date your sample arrives at our lab.

We partner with an independent accredited laboratory to analyze your PFAS/PFOA water sample, combining professional-grade testing with the personalized support and free results consultation that only ETR can provide.

Understanding Your Results

PFAS water test results can be difficult to interpret, especially as federal and state drinking water standards continue to evolve. That’s why every test includes a free consultation with our water quality experts. We’ll review your results with you, explain what the detected levels mean for your family’s health, and help you determine the right next steps if any forever chemicals are found in your water supply.

Whether you’re a homeowner on a private well, concerned about local PFAS contamination, or buying a new home and want to know what’s in the water before you close, this test gives you the comprehensive PFAS screening and personalized support you need to make informed decisions about your drinking water.
