Cyclospora Water Test

$315.00

What It Is
Cyclospora is a microscopic parasite that causes cyclosporiasis, an intestinal illness marked by watery diarrhea, fatigue, and stomach cramps that can last for weeks if untreated. This test uses scanning electron microscope (SEM) analysis to identify Cyclospora and related organisms present in a water sample.

Why It Matters
Cyclospora spreads when water contaminated with feces comes into contact with a water source, most often linked in recent outbreaks to irrigation and produce washing water. Identifying whether it’s present in your water supply is an important step if you’re concerned about contamination from surface water intrusion, agricultural runoff, or a nearby fecal contamination source.

How It Works
After checkout, we ship you an insulated cooler box with sterile sample bottles, ice packs, and sampling instructions included. Once your sample is collected, return it to our lab via the included overnight shipping label through UPS (if you prefer a different carrier, just include a note in your order). Your sample is then analyzed by our in-house lab using scanning electron microscopy to identify the presence of Cyclospora and other microorganisms in your water.

Turnaround Time
Results from our in-house lab in 5 to 7 business days from the date your sample arrives at our lab.
