Most water testing companies consider their job done once they've sent your results. We don't. We want to make sure you know what you can do to improve your water quality and remove any harmful contaminants. That's why we offer follow-up phone calls with our experts at no additional cost.

No middleman. We do all our testing ourselves. The results you receive always come directly from our in-house lab. This keeps our prices down and the quality of our testing up.
We offer free follow-up consultations. Most water testing companies can't explain the results of your test because they don't do the testing themselves. But we do. And that's why we offer free phone consultations to help you make sense of your results.
We're a trusted name in the water industry. We're a member of the national Water Quality Association and our own local Massachusetts Ground Water Association.

Basic Water Test FAQ

Why Should I Test My Water?

Many people want to check the quality of their community or well water. ETR Laboratories is happy to help verify the quality of a water supply or provide the information needed to correct problems. Community water supplies and wells can easily become contaminated. Nearby construction, mining, or industries can introduce pollutants into the groundwater. Naturally-occurring minerals or heavy metals can also make their way into your water supply.

If you have any systems in place to filter or soften your water and you want to know if they are effective, or if you are concerned about the presence of radon in your water, this is the correct test for you. For your peace of mind, order the Premium Water Test and receive the results on 113 minerals, heavy metals, toxic chemicals or attributes of your water. Order by visiting Premium Water Test today, or contact us for more information.

If you are applying for an FHA or VA loan on a home supplied by well water, you will probably be required to test the well before the loan is approved. After that, a well should be tested annually or any time there is possible contamination or damage to the well.

If you are moving into a new community or new home, it is a good idea to test your water quality. If there is drilling, mining or construction near your home, you may want to order a test annually or more frequently. Also, if you live near agricultural activities, or if there are any industrial accidents or floods near your home, it’s important to get a new test of your water.

It’s also smart to test your water if anyone in the home has suffered unexplained illness or if there is a new baby in the home.

The Premium Water Test checks for 113 different minerals, heavy metals, chemicals or attributes of your water. Sixty of these substances are industrial or cancer-causing chemicals. Anyone living in a community with chemical, pharmaceutical or agricultural industries would be wise to check for these chemicals in the water supply.

Tests for alkalinity, ammonia, color, hardness, pH, sediment, tannins, turbidity and silica let you know if there are attributes of your water that can damage your plumbing equipment or filters, as well as give your water a bad taste or appearance. Water softening equipment may run into problems much faster if some of these attributes are present.

This test also checks for bacteria, heavy metals, minerals, nitrates, nitrites and radon. To start your Premium Water Test, just go to the ordering page for this test or contact us for further consultation on the best test for your situation.

The Premium Water Test cost is $225 to get the results on 113 different tests. With these results, you will know if your community or well water is suffering contamination from industry, agriculture, or naturally-occurring minerals. You will also be able to find out if your filtering or water softening systems are working properly. To get this insight into your water quality, visit Premium Water Test or contact us to get details or answers to your questions.
